Wow, what an unexpected adventure Alex and Lexi had when their father decided to take the “southern route” home. From the Gulf of Mexico to the Atlantic Ocean they had so many neat and exciting experiences. There was the swamp buggy ride in Louisiana, retracing historical paths in Mississippi, playing in one of the many Alabama waterfalls, hiking Stone Mountain and climbing a lighthouse in Georgia~ besides so many more fun and educational memories. Definitely a highlight was meeting new friends Serena and Jabin in Alabama. History came alive as Alex and Lexi walked on the streets of Montgomery, Alabama; New Orleans, Louisiana; and toured the Chickamauga, Georgia battlefield. As always, God’s fingerprints were all along the way from big alligators and whales to tiny ants and birds that kept it an exciting journey.
